A New Christmas Card Tradition

I open the mail at our home. Each year the Christmas cards go in a special basket for everyone to enjoy. I loved the idea of sharing the cards at the table and then praying for each family. Last night I announced what we were starting. I passed the cards around the table. Everyone got a card but me. I asked each person to open their card, read it, and then pray for that family. My husband went first, our 9-year-old son next, and our 7-year-old son last. When our 7 year-old began to pray, it was precious because I could tell he didn’t remember the family he was praying for. I know Jesus was smiling and probably chuckling at what our sweet son prayed for this family that he couldn’t picture in his mind. I had to get up from the table for something I “forgot” to have a private little laugh myself. Thank you for this wonderful new tradition that our family has started. I love it!
