Building Your Faith by Reading the Bible

The Child's Story Bible

Do you ever struggle in your faith?  When trials come at you are you tempted to waiver?  If the answer to either of these questions is yes, rest at ease.  You are like most believers.  It is innate in us to struggle with our faith.  That is why God gave us His Word.  Over and over He gave us examples of ordinary people who put their trust in God and saw Him come through.  We also see examples of those who chose to trust in their own understanding and made a mess out of things.  One of the reasons I love to read the Bible through each year is because I come across stories that build my faith and encourage me.

If you have never read the Bible through or just struggle to understand it, why not start with The Child’s Story Bible?  If you have children read it with them.  If you don’t have children, don’t be embarrassed to read it.

The great thing about The Child’s Story Bible is it puts the stories into concise form and uses words that are easy to understand.  In time you will know the stories. Then you may want to go back and read them in your copy of God’s Word.

The great thing about knowing the stories is seeing how God has come through from the beginning of time, and He will continue to through eternity.

God gave us His Word to instruct us, but also as a resource to know He is faithful and true.  Our faith is built up as we read His Word and learn how to hold on to His promises.  At those times when you’re feeling a little weak in your faith, you can remember how God came through for others in the stories of the Bible and know He will guide you as well.
