The Privilege of Worship

In Southeast Asia where 1% of the population has even heard the name of Jesus spoken, a small (and growing) group of believers are worshiping today. They are lifting hands and voices to our God with beauty and grace. For some in the group, this freedom to worship openly is new.

Today let’s join in thanksgiving to the Lord for the privilege of worshiping Him.

The following video is from missionary Chuck Quinley in Southeast Asia. (You may recall a post he wrote for MMCW some years back called Open Hearts, Open Homes.) What a privilege that together we can rejoice, sing, and praise the Lord, lifting His name on high with worshipers all around the earth.

Thank You, Father God, for the privilege to worship You.  Thank You, God, for creating within us the desire to sing forth Your praises and glorify Your name. May the voices raised in praise to Your Holy Name be a sweet savor and bring You glory, honor, and praise.

You are my God, and I will give you thanks; you are my God, and I will exalt you. Give thanks to the Lord, for He is good; His love endures forever. ~Psalms 118:28,29.
