Looking for some simple and easy fall crafts to make as a family? Here are two favorites:
Brown Bag Pumpkins
Make a variety of pumpkins in all sizes At end of season store with fall and Thanksgiving decorations and use again next year. The one pictured is over four years old.
Supplies: orange tempera pain, paint brushes, brown lunch bags, scissors, newspaper, green and brown pipecleaners.
Paint lunch bags and allow to dry. Stuff with newspaper to fill out pumpkin. Twist top of bag and tie with pipe cleaner you have cut to desired length. Curl pipe cleaner around a pencil to make curly.
Dollar Store Placemats
My fall placemats were found at the dollar store in the art section. Each family member colored a scarecrow. I had them laminated and now we enjoy our artwork daily. For just $1 (not including laminating) it is a great craft project.
Supplies: Scarecrow placemats. Package of 6 at Dollar Store. Or, make your own with 11 x 17 construction paper. Crayons and colored pencils.
Color and laminate.
