Decorating the Tree

I decorate several different trees every year for Christmas. My mom started the tradition of making a Nativity Tree, and I enjoy continuing this tradition  each year.

We wire the branches of an artificial tree so that a nativity scene can be placed in the center.

To add stability, I cover a thin box with material and then place a nativity scene on the covered box.

The rest of the tree is covered with biblical ornaments.   I use white lights on the tree, so it lights up the nativity scene. It is a beautiful way to celebrate the King’s birthday.

Another fun tree for the hunter in your life is to decorate an outdoor tree with used shotgun shells and a camouflage bow.

I have one for my back porch. I also put arrows at the top. We tie ribbon or thread around the top of each shell.

Then we hang the shells on the tree. They are all weather resistant so having it outside is not a problem.
