Christmas Around the World

An idea for a Christmas party that will also serve as a global education opportunity for your children is to have an international Christmas party.

We invited our international friends and asked them to each bring a traditional food item that is typical to their country during the holidays. Display the food buffet style and allow guests to describe what they brought.

After the meal, share dessert and coffee / tea in the living room by the Christmas tree and fireplace. Ask each guest to share about their family Christmas traditions, sing a couple of Christmas carols, read the Christmas story, then pray for the nations.

As a party favor, you can give homemade cookies with tea or coffee samples in a decorative bag.

What a wonderful evening this will be for everyone!
