The Sword of the Spirit . . .
For the word of God is living and active and sharper
than any two-edged sword,
and piercing as far as the division of soul and spirit, of both joints and marrow,
and able to judge the thoughts and intentions of the heart. Hebrews 4: 12

Scripture Passage for this week: Ephesians 6:10-20
Gracious Heavenly Father, It is Your words not mine which are able to pierce the darkness. It is Your words which are a lamp unto my feet and a light unto my path. It is Your words which bring peace, encouragement, strength, and courage to face life today. It is the Word of God which is able to judge the true motives and intentions of my heart, bringing me to repentance. I humble repent of my sin and ask for the living Word to guide my thoughts and motives. Through the power of the Holy Spirit help me to live a righteous life. In Your Son’s name I pray. Amen.
