A Midwinter's Eve by Nathan Clark George

The Christmas season should afford us extra time for quiet reflection and worship, yet often the opposite is true.  Amidst the hustle and bustle of the season, I often find myself longing for a quiet corner and a cup of tea.  Even my thoughts are restless, filled as they often are with to-do lists and the pressing needs of each day.

A Midwinter’s Eve by Nathan Clark George is welcome refreshment, and I find that the peaceful acoustic guitar and the meditative lyrics draw me to slow down and refocus my thoughts on the Lord.

Nathan has included several beautiful acoustic guitar solos on this album, interspersed with other quiet carols.  Angels Medley is my favorite guitar solo on the CD.  In the Bleak Midwinter was already one of my favorite Christmas carols, and this rendition is thoughtful and inspiring.   Let All Mortal Flesh Keep Silence is hauntingly beautiful, and I often find myself humming it throughout the day.
