Mom
We all know what we would like in our stockings! Give your family a list of items they can make (such as coupons) and items you’d love to have. My list includes: iTunes card, new case for my iPod, magazines, gift card to church Cafe’ (I get a hot chocolate every week before church), mechanical pencils (I lose these by the dozen!), good pens, Yankee Candle car fresheners, journal, magazine, hand lotion, a Dove dark chocolate candy bar, gift card to LifeWay.

Wal-Mart and dollar stores are good places for a variety of low cost stocking stuffers. I look for items I can buy in a pack and divide among the stockings. My sister just shared that she is dividing up the Wii Sports Accessory Kit as stocking stuffers for her children this year. Also look through your coupons. You may have coupons for gum, Tic Tacs, deodorant, designer hair care products, toothbrushes and toothpaste that will save additional money.

To make assembly easier I have each family member’s stuffer items divided into grocery store plastic bags. As I purchase items along the way I drop into the appropriate bag. On Christmas Eve it takes only a few minutes to  transfer to the stockings.
