For Thanksgiving or Christmas, setting up a caramel apple bar will be the hit of any gathering. It’s one of those interactive desserts your guests will be talking about for months!
How to Create a Caramel Apple Bar
* Cut Apples into wedges then insert a skewer. You can use wooden or candy sticks.
* Make caramel dip
Unwrap one bag of caramels and place in a microwaveable dish.
2 Tablespoons Evaporated milk
8 oz. cream cheese
Place caramels, milk, and cream cheese in a microwaveable bowl. Microwave in one minute intervals stirring after each minute until smooth. The cream cheese will make it softer and stay dippable longer. Can be reheated as needed.
Dip apples into warm caramel dip then roll or dip in toppings of your choice. Since your apple is already sliced you can choose multiple toppings!
Choose toppings you like for your bar. Here are some ideas:
Chocolate chips / White chocolate chips
Chopped nuts of any variety
Crushed candy bars (Heath candy bars work very well)
If you can dream it, you can put it on your apple bar!
