“Draw near to God and He will draw near to you. Cleanse your hands, you sinners; and purify your hearts, you double-minded.” James 4:8 NASB
Prayer:
Gracious Heavenly Father, sometimes life can be so overwhelming. There are days when life leaves me doubting and discouraged. Yet, Your Word tells me that I am to draw near to You, which means to pursue an intimate love relationship with You and this is done by being in Your Word. You never change or move. You are the same yesterday, today, and forever. Therefore, I must draw near to You. Your Word tells me to “seek the LORD while He may be found, call upon Him while He is near. (Isaiah 55:6)”. Cleanse my hands and purify my heart so I may draw closer to You every day. I want to be clean before you.
What a wonderful privilege it is to be able to draw near to the great I Am and to know You will draw near to me. I praise You and I thank You for this truth. In Your Son’s name I pray, the name of Jesus. Amen
