forest snowA Joyful Shout . . . .

“Sing aloud to God our strength; make a joyful shout to the God of Jacob.
Raise a song and strike the timbrel, the pleasant harp with the lute.”  – Psalm 81:1-2 NKJV

 To God our strength!

“Heavenly Father, how thankful I am that You know every facet of my life.   As this new year unfolds I want to sing a new song unto the Lord.  Would you put a new song in my heart?  A song which rises above whatever my circumstances may be.  May it be a song which tells of Your strength and my willingness to trust you more each new day.  So Father, I commit this new year to you.  Please fill me with the power of the Holy Spirit so that I may be equipped and empowered.  I raise my new song to you with a joyful shout.”

Suggestion:  This year place a hymnal next to your Bible to be used during your quiet time.
