Christmas Sock Party

Many of us have participated in ornament exchanges. This party is a twist on the traditional gift swap.

Ask each guest to bring a pair of gift-wrapped Christmas socks to exchange along with an unwrapped pair. The unwrapped pair of Christmas socks will be given to a homeless shelter or ministry. Decorations can include fun Christmas stockings. Stocking shaped iced sugar cookies would be great to serve for refreshments.

At the sock exchange I hosted I read the book Socks for Christmas: A Child’s Discovery of the True Riches of Christmas by Andy Andrews. It is a heart-moving book that allows all of us to realize how blessed we really are.
