Mug Progressive Supper
Select four homes to serve as hosts. At each home serve a course of the meal.
House 1: appetizers
House 2: salad
House 3: baked potato bar
House 4: desert

Invite friends to bring a gift-wrapped mug when they arrive at the fourth home for dessert. Before serving dessert, have a mug swap.

Distribute numbers to each guest and have them choose a gift to open from the collection of gift wrapped mugs. To add fun to the evening, allow the next person to open another gift or take one that has already been opened. If this twist is inserted set a few rules such as: a mug can only be stolen twice and then it is frozen and cannot be taken again. Second, a mug cannot be taken directly from the person who took it from you.

At the end of the mug swap, prepare warm soapy water in the sink and have friends rinse out their mugs for hot chocolate or coffee. Each guest will take home their mug as a reminder of the fun evening.

Before guests leave, take a minute to share how Jesus has filled your cup with many blessings this year. Mention some of those blessings, then pray that in the year to come God will fill everyone’s life to overflowing with blessings.
