What a great start to our Christmas in July series with Cheryl’s Creative Slow-Cooker cookbook giveaway. If you didn’t get a chance to enter but would like some super-simple recipes, check out the blog post where you’ll find in the comment section: Darlene’s pot roast recipe, Kelly’s chicken and Rotel crockpot favorite, Kimberlee’s chicken and salsa, Beth’s shredded pork tacos, Carol’s sweet chicken, and Kym’s round steak. In addition, there are some great crockpot tips and techniques shared by more wonderful ladies. What a blessing each of you are–thank you for sharing!

Every Christmas I have good intentions of making cookies and treats for everyone. Most years I fail miserably because it becomes too stressful with all the added responsibilities of the holidays. This year one way I am planning to make it stress-free and doable is by making cookie dough ahead of time to freeze. Classic recipes such as chocolate chip and sugar cookie dough are perfect for freezing and will keep for months. The great thing is, there’s more than just chocolate chip and sugar cookie dough that will freeze well.

Here are two classic recipes from Mentoring Moments I will be freezing this month:

Make Ahead Cookies

Chips Galore Cookies

Not cookies, but a great holiday treat that keeps well in the freezer: Sausage Balls.

Do you have a cookie dough recipe that can be frozen?
