All week I’ve considered this July 4th post and what to write. After last week’s Supreme Court ruling, threats of terrorism, and the horrendous racial attack against fellow believers in Charleston, SC, July 4th is more somber this year. When I think about July 4th this year, prayer immediately comes to mind.
Our nation needs prayer.
From our leaders to each citizen, we need the Lord God Almighty. Our nation needs salvation only found in Jesus Christ.
Today while I’m making potato salad, visiting with friends, and watching fireworks I will also be in prayer. I will be praying the Word of God over our nation, my family, and myself. We all need God.
Want to join in prayer together?

“If My people who are called by My name will humble themselves, and pray and seek My face, and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin and heal their land.” 2 Chronicles 7:14
“If you declare with your mouth, “Jesus is Lord,” and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.” Romans 10:19
