Have you ever felt led to read the entire Bible but never followed through? Maybe you started and allowed it to fall to the side, or maybe thought of reading the Bible from cover to cover is overwhelming.
My friend and accountability partner Cindy and I have read the Bible through each year for about ten years. When we first started both of us felt overwhelmed, but through the years we have learned having a plan is a huge step in completing the goal. Accountability keeps us on course and spurs us on when one gets weary. The Holy Spirit is always with each of us as a guide to reveal truth, and it is also good to have a friend to keep the challenge and motivation alive.
I’m happy to announce that Cindy and I would love for each of you to join us in reading the Bible in 2013 here at Mentoring Moments. Together we will cheer one another along and experience the power of God’s Word in our lives.
The reading plan we have chosen divides the Bible into daily and weekly portions to avoid discouragement. There are six days of scripture reading each week. This schedule allows for one reflection or grace day a week. If you should get behind, don’t feel as though you have to go back and read it all to catch up. Just join us where we are and know you can pick right up with no guilt and enjoy the truths God has for you that day. In doing these simple things you will be better equipped to read the Bible through in a year.
Our daily Bible reading plan will start on January 1, 2013. Our translation of choice is Reading God’s Story: A Daily Chronological Bible.

, paperback, on Kindle, and U-Version through phone and computer devices. I am looking forward to joining with you dear friends as we read together God’s holy Word. I encourage you to join us and post what God reveals to you as we share in this experience. This will give each of us accountability and promote spiritual growth.
