What Mentoring Moments Is Intentionally Choosing in 2018

Do you have a special ‘word’ for 2018?

You know, a word / discipline to intentionally focus on in the new year? This time of year I see posts announcing the writer’s word-of-the-year painted beautifully on a pillow.

For years, Mentoring Moments has done something similar. We pray and ask the Lord for direction by giving us a theme to mentor on through our writing. Some of our themes over the years have been:

Grace-Full Living
In His Presence
Jesus Is…
Living @ Full Strength in Christ
Rooted in Christ: Yielding Fruits of the Spirit
Walking in Wisdom

For 2018, the Lord has directed our hearts to mentor in writing on Choices.
Yes, Choices with a capital ‘C’.

Proverbs 2:11 says,
Wise choices will watch over you. Understanding will keep you safe.
Proverbs 19:2 says,
It is dangerous to have zeal without knowledge, and the one who hastily makes poor choices.

And, Ecclesiastes 2:13-14 says,
“I thought, ‘Wisdom is better than foolishness, just as light is better than darkness. For the wise can see where they are going, but fools walk in the dark.’ Yet, I saw that the wise and the foolish share the same fate.”

Can I be real here? As women, our choices must reflect Christ. We have younger sisters in Christ looking to us, watching us, following our lead. This year, would you make the choice to join with Mentoring Moments and disciple / mentor a sister in Christ on the importance of wise choices?

The staff at MMCW will write and share resources to come alongside you. We have generations of women who desperately need the mentoring of godly Christian women focused on making intentional choices that honor and glorify our Lord.

You don’t have a mentor?
