Making Sewing Kits

Materials needed: poster board–(20 2″ x 2 1/2″, cotton material–5 1/2″ x 4″, felt–3 1/2″ x 2″, Felt heart–2″, Ribbon–12″, embroidery thread, hot glue gun.

Spread out the cotton material. Center the two poster board squares in the center of the material. Anchor the poster board to the material with a dab of hot glue. Fold the material neatly around the edge of the poster board, tucking in the corners. Glue the edges in. Center and glue the ribbon across the middle of the book. Glue the 3 1/2″ x 2″ felt rectangle over the center of the book. Stitch down the center of the book with the embroidery thread. Put 2-3 different sizes of safety pins in kit. Put on sewing needle in book. Using white or off-white thread, thread a needle and wrap extra length around it.
