In His Presence #16: God’s Amazing Love

I wanted to see if we could just take some time today during our “In His Presence” time to meditate on God’s love for us. Remember the story from the Bible when God instructed Moses to build a tabernacle? The very name means “dwelling place.” Isn’t it amazing that God desires to dwell with us? I just have to sit still and let that sink in sometimes. The creator of the universe desires a relationship with me.

You know, God’s love is an amazing! “It is true that God does loving things. But the more important truth is that God is love (1 John 4:8). God can’t help loving because it is an essential part of His character. “ (Thriving Family, God’s Love)

I recently read something Beth Moore had written about a day in which she was particularly down and had decided to take a walk near her home. Praise music was playing through her headphones and she just began to worship the Lord. Then, in the distance, she recalled that she saw a beautiful display of lightening that looked like fireworks. God was showing her His awesome love, she wrote. I wonder how many times we miss God’s displays of love toward us.

Isn’t it neat to know that not only does He love us and want to dwell with us, but He also cares for and comforts us. I hope you feel loved today, because you are!
