It is hard to believe we will soon be closing the book on 2013 and opening a fresh page on 2014. In 2013 we challenged our Mentoring Moments readers to join us as we read the Bible through. I must admit, I did not know how many would actually accept the challenge and make the journey with us, but for the last year over 700 of you stepped up! I have thanked the Father often for each of you and asked Him to keep you faithful to reading and understanding His word.
As we approach 2014 we have felt led to challenge you once again to reading the Bible through with us. This year we will be using OWNit.365. We will be using the Whole Bible plan.
You can download this unique whole Bible reading plan to your computer, mobile device, or print out a pdf file and use your own copy of God’s Word to follow along. Join us on the Anchoring Deep in God’s Word Facebook page to post thoughts or comments on what you have read.
The comments serve a couple of purposes. It helps you see what others get out of passages, but it can also help when you are reading something you don’t understand to see what others think. We have several readers who will do research for you if you have a question. It is like having your own Bible Study group on line. Many of the people who are reading through with us are Bible teachers or have studied God’s word for years. The Anchoring Deep page is a great resource.
Having the group also helps with accountability. I love that it is a no-guilt group. If you have missed several days due to life happening, just jump right back in with the rest of us with no condemnation. That helps you to know how to jump back in when Satan tries to tell you to give up. If you have never read the Bible through before, this is a great tool to help you make the journey successfully.
