Here’s Chip Henderson explaining what the study is all about. (If you cannot view the video, click here.)

It’s free to participate — all you need to purchase is your workbook. (LifeWay is another good source for the workbook too.) Invite your family and friends to join with you too. It is an excellent opportunity for mentoring / discipleship!

I would like to introduce you to Danielle. You’re going to love and appreciate her throughout the study. She has set everything up and will be your fearless leader. From here on out I’m turning today’s post over to Danielle to explain how everything will work.

Danielle Explains How the Study will Work

In January 2014, the Lord led me to create something I’ve never done before – an online bible study. My husband is always telling me how the Lord uses me to be the “trail-blazer.” If there’s a way to do something, I’ll find a way to get it done and let others know what to avoid along the way.

I was busy working at a crisis pregnancy center in the area when the Lord started to lead me to do a bible study for the women’s ministry at Blackshear Place Baptist Church (BPBC). I couldn’t do the typical days or nights regular bible studies were scheduled for and began to ask the Lord how He wanted me to respond. No matter what He calls me to do, He always calls me to think outside of the box. I was busy and knew other women were busy too. So, I began praying how I could meet them where they were at.

How the online forum works is by using the Church Community Builder (CCB) database system the church owns. When a study starts, I post the lesson by 8:00am every Monday morning and participants have an entire week to do the assigned homework and post their responses. If someone falls behind, they don’t have to stress. I build in a 4-week extension so God can have the flexibility He needs to work in a lady’s life and not feel the stress of having to do everything “just-right.”

Once a lesson is posted, CCB will send out a generated email for everyone who is participating in the study and they can respond in 1 of 2 ways. A lady can simply reply to the email and send a private message to me to have a 1:1 conversation or post publicly by clicking the “click to comment here” button for everyone in the group to see. I provide a structured framework to keep it simple and try to make it personal by providing my own videos for that 1:1 connection. In addition, I and my “digital care group leaders”, send out weekly emails to each participant to see how they are doing with the study and how they can pray for each woman on their list. It’s up to each lady to determine how involved she wants to be. Some choose to be quiet, while others create their own personal small-group using the material we provide as the foundation.

If you have any questions, feel free to contact me at contact@providentialliving.com. It’s all about connecting with God and each other in the midst of our busy lives.
