Love in a Box

It’s just a shoebox filled with dollar store items.

It sounded like a nice Christmas tradition to start all those years ago when our teens were just little things. Back then we made two boxes and talked about more.

When two more children came along, each child filled their own shoebox.

Two years ago God touched our hearts, asked a question, and changed my family.

God whispered…

“What if it was your child?

One box to touch the life of your child, what would you want put in it?

What would this box mean for your child?”

We began to love.

We may never meet these precious children.

Our prayer is they will meet Jesus.

These simple boxes are no longer a Christmas tradition.

We pray each item says “I love you.”

We pray boxes are filled with exact needs for specific children.

We pray a simple box is an answer to a child’s prayer ~ a confirmation that God sees and hears them right where they are.

It’s just a simple shoebox, filled with love.
