In His Presence #13: Reasons for the Season

What a busy time of year this is!  I can already feel my blood pressure rising as I count down the number of shopping days I have left.

With all the hustle and bustle, it’s easy for our own quiet times to get pushed to the side..and just when we need it the most before those trying days at the mall! I want to encourage you to keep at it.  You will never regret time spent In His Presence.

Begin teaching your children to develop a prayer routine as well.  Each morning, we have a devotional at our kitchen table.  Often I use the Clay Clarkson resource, Our 24 Family Ways.  Afterward, I set the kitchen timer for 15 minutes and we all retreat to our own spaces to pray.

We also enjoy family devotion time in the evening.  For this busy season, I have created an eBook entitled, Reasons for the Season, which is full of family devotions for the month of December.  Each one centers around a holiday tradition and includes a memory verse, discussion starter, lesson, prayer and activity.  I hope it blesses your family this season.  Enjoy Reasons for the Season free this Christmas as a gift from Mentoring Moments and me.
