Can you believe we’ve read 8 books together already this year! We’ve laughed, cried, and been inspired by wonderful Christian authors.
January – The Nesting Place: It Doesn’t Have to Be Perfect to Be Beautiful by Myquillyn Smith
February – Mended: Pieces of a Life Made Whole by Angie Smith
March – Home Is Where My People Are: The Roads That Lead Us to Where We Belong by Sophie Hudson
April – Interrupted: When Jesus Wrecks Your Comfortable Christianity by Jen Hatmaker
May – The Insanity of Obedience: Walking with Jesus in Tough Places by Nik Ripkin
June – Words Unspoken by Elizabeth Musser
July – Show Some Love: How To Be a Friend to Someone in Recovery by Daphne Tarango
August – Kisses from Katie: A Story of Relentless Love and Redemption by Katie Davis
Once fall arrives it seems like things hit fast-forward to New Years. You feel the same way too?
To try and avoid me forgetting to plan a book to read together, I thought I would set us up through December. It gives us all plenty of time to get the books and not feel rushed because I forgot to make an announcement.
If you haven’t joined our Facebook group, please do!
We’ve been quiet this summer with traveling and running around, but let’s start our book conversations back up. In fact, if you’re reading a book on our list from a month or so back, feel free to comment on it. I’ll let you in on a little secret — I’m reading July and August’s books right now myself. Somehow I got off track back in the spring and I’m determined to catch up this month.
Is there a book you would like see added to our reading list?
Please email or message me! I would love to include your choices in our selections. In November I will announce the books for January, February, and March 2016 (can you believe it!) so send in your titles now!
Without further ado, let’s get to the fun…
September – You and Me Forever: Marriage in Light of Eternity by Francis and Lisa Chan.
October – Hands Free Life: Nine Habits for Overcoming Distraction, Living Better, and Loving More by Rachel Macy Stafford
November: The Christmas Joy Ride by Melody Carlson
December: Luke.
In December let’s slow down and read God’s Word. Share your favorite verses from the book of Luke, thoughts, and prayers.
Faithful Friends Book Club is open to everyone. Join our Facebook Group and come read with us this fall. Hope to be seeing your smiling faces and reading your comments soon!
